What other financial aid could you qualify for?

At the time that you are accepted into a college or technical college, if you are a citizen, you are encouraged to complete the FAFSA form leading to a Pell Grant (free money from the Federal government). Your college financial aid office will have this form.

Where can you find low-cost options for higher education?

We encourage you to explore the opportunities available to you through the State of Georgia’s technical college network of twenty-two schools. The two units closest to Park Springs are:

Gwinnett Technical College

located at the corner of Sugarloaf Parkway and GA route 316 in Lawrenceville

Georgia Piedmont Technical College

(www.gptc.edu)

located at the corner of Memorial Drive and Indian Creek Drive in Clarkston.

These technical colleges offer a relatively low-cost and accommodating route towards certification in many fields and provide entry to jobs in these fields. They also offer courses that support your personal interests. They offer Associate Degrees.

Alternatively, you may pursue your studies at one of the twenty-six units within Georgia’s university system. The two units closest to Park Springs are:

These colleges are in the same system as the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech and provide a lower-cost path toward a BS or BA degree. They can also be used to meet the introductory course requirements of the flagship universities at a fraction of the cost.
