Scholarship Information
Who qualifies for a scholarship?
Park Springs employees, their spouses and their dependent children and grandchildren are eligible for a scholarship. The only qualification requirement is to have been employed at Park Springs for at least six months.
How much will a scholarship pay?
The scholarship will pay up to $3,500 per semester for tuition and fees. In addition, we will pay up to $500 for books and other supplies required by your course of study, including computer hardware and software. At the time an award is processed, we will ask you how much financial aid you are receiving from other sources and award an amount up to $3,500 per semester to pay tuition and fees.
The payment for books and supplies, up to $500, will be reimbursed when you send receipts for items you purchase.
What schools can you attend?
Park Springs Foundation scholarships may be used at any institution of higher learning as long as it is not-for-profit. This includes English as a Second Language (ESL) and GED programs; technical colleges; community colleges; and colleges and universities offering bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral programs.
When should you apply for a scholarship?
You should apply for a scholarship when you are accepted for admission at the school and program you will attend. If you currently hold a scholarship, we intend to continue your scholarship aid, but every fall semester we require you to update your application before tuition and fees are due. The Employee Agreement section of the application lets us know that you continue to comply with our rules for a scholarship candidate. The Application asks for your contact and college program information. You can still obtain our support if you choose to change colleges.
