Senesie Bangura
MBA / Mercer University
Senesie’s undergraduate major at Georgia State University was Biomedical Science and Enterprise, and at Mercer University he is pursuing an MBA with certification in data analytics. He also works at Grady Hospital as a patient safety monitor to get hands-on experience with patient care. Long term, he hopes to work in the pharmaceutical industry, perhaps in quality assurance or certification of new drugs.
Senesie, whose mother Mariatu Bangura works at Cobblestone, grew up in a family that places a high value on education. He was an honor student at Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain and a soccer player on a club team where traveling to games was the norm.
With a smile, he described family rules for him and his two sisters. “No TV until all your school work is done” (unless, of course, they could sneak in a show when parents weren’t looking). He had to have good grades to play soccer, and he still loves playing in pick-up games and is an enthusiastic supporter of Arsenal, his favorite Premier League team.
In his college years, Senesie has taken full advantage of professional development, networking, and mentoring opportunities, including certification in pharmaceutical industry regulatory affairs.
